Visiting London
If you’re looking for a place to eat, sleep, and play in London then you’ve come to the right place. This blog post will cover 3 areas that any traveler would want when they visit London: food, accommodation, and activities. We start with food because it is important not only for our physical health but also for mental health.
1. The food
The food in London is truly amazing and I wish I could’ve eaten everything I wanted when I was there. Everything from the street food to restaurants was so good. It’s nice to be able to try so many different things when you’re in a new place and be surprised by how it actually tastes.
You should visit restaurants like Ottolenghi and Busaba Eathai for delicious food you can’t find anywhere else. Remember to order the roti canai at Busaba Eathai, it’s my favourite.
Don’t forget to try all the different street food in London as well since that is something I don’t really have access to where I live now. There were tons of amazing vegan options and sweets like churros with chocolate sauce everywhere!
If you’re looking to do some shopping, then look no further than Borough Market, which has great local produce as well as other amazing foods like cheese! Doorstep sandwiches are also a must-try while living in London. If it’s available near you, get one while Visiting London!
2. Sleeping
I stayed at a hostel called Generator and it was really nice. It’s in a great location, has free breakfast where you can meet lots of other people from all over the world, and they’re known for having good parties too!
If staying in an apartment with friends is more your thing then be sure to check out Airbnb. There are tons of cute apartments and houses to choose from, along with great reviews.
As always, make sure you do your research before choosing where to stay because there are some sketchy hostels out there too! You don’t want a bad experience ruining the rest of your trip.
Sleeping in London is easy as long as you find a place that’s comfortable for you.
3. The playing
When it comes to playing, London has a lot to offer. There are plenty of activities for both children and adults, and there is something for everyone. London is a beautiful city with many attractions. It’s common to see tourists visiting the city on any given day. Here are some highlights of what a tourist might do on their first day in London.
At around 10 am, they might take a stroll through St. James’ Park or St. James’ Palace, or both, depending on their feelings towards dogs and horses respectively at that moment. They will also encounter the Mall with either Buckingham Palace or Parliament in it depending on which way they’re walking at said point in time, at 11:30 am. The walk will bring them past Trafalgar Square where Admiral Nelson has gazed out over London for decades now before stopping off for lunch near Charing Cross Station at 12:30.
After a leisurely lunch, they might visit the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square or one of the many other art galleries in the area before it’s time for tea at around 16:00. They can then go explore more of London, taking in some of its famous landmarks such as Big Ben and Westminster Abbey lit up at night. Finally, they can finish their day with a show in the West End.
